Our next stop is in Volimes. This is a traditional Zakynthian village that survives from local goods. They make their own cheese, yoghurt, olive oil, wine, honey, herbs etc. They raise their own livestock, chickens, geese etc. They are also very famous for making their own handmade rugs, table cloths, curtains etc. Many of these goods are sold in the local shops. You will also see these rugs and tablecloths hanging on the fences of the houses. Here if you haggle you can get a good price for your shopping.Tour by Bus in Zante Zakynthos island, Greece.

Our program continues to the top of the island, to view the panoramic Shipwreck. Many have done the boat cruise and have swum on this beach, but the view from above is absolutely breathtaking. This is the same view that you witness on all the holiday brochures, postcards, and posters in major travel agencies.

Driving through the villages up in the mountains you will pass by the Monastery of St Georgos through to Anafonitria where you can see the personal belongings of St Dennis, our patron saint. Agios Leon and Kiliomeno are very famous for there stone built houses and very small narrow donkey roads. The old men are found sitting in the local cafe shops twirling their worry beads while they play backgammon and wave at the modern tourists as they go by. Upon returning you stop at a wine tasting cava, and can purchase wine at factory outlet prices. Return times estimated at 17:00.
There is a major lunch stop in Agios Nikolas for about an hour. There are no facilities to exchange money on this tour so make sure you have plenty of money for your souvenir shopping, lunch and any entrance fees. Recommended is that you take a throw over type cloth with you for the church visits.
