Join us for a different excursion, far away from mass tourism and experience what the true Zakynthos has to offer. We will drive you around in Land Rovers with a maximum of 8 passengers in each car. The tour leads you on dirt tracks through olive groves, vineyards and picturesque mountain villages. The beautiful scenery and views are breathtaking and all day long you will be surrounded by the scent of herbs and flowers that grow abundantly all over the island. To cool off a bit, we will stop to a nice beach, so you can relax and have a swim in the clear blue sea. Afterwards we stop at a small local taverna for lunch. There will be stops every half hour where our professional drivers/guides give information about agriculture, herbs, flowers and so on.
The trip starts at about 08.15 in the morning with you pick up from your resorts, according to the schedule, which is given from the tourist offices. First stop over is village Louha, a traditional small village, ideal for a short coffee, driving mostly off road. Our next stop over is Antennas, the highest point of the island where you get the chance to enjoy the magnificent view and take photos as well. Passing from some of the most traditional villages, such as Exohora, Maries, we stop in Volimes for shopping. There you can find and buy local products (wine, oil, honey) and souvenirs from the open market. In "Exo Hora", you will see the most impressing and probably the oldest olive tree on the island. It is said to be 2000 years old and here the guides will reveal you some of its hidden shapes of figures! And then one of the most famous sights around the world: the SHIPWRECK, a magnificent view of the deep blue of the Ionian Sea. This will make you feel happy for having chosen the trip...You will enjoy the breathtaking view from this viewpoint and you will take your own postcard photograph. And as the day goes on, driving and passing from Volimes, we are in Makris Gialos, a unique place for lunch and relax in one friendly and family restaurant with local traditional tastes (lunch is not included). This beach is one of the most photographed beaches of the island.
The clear bleu-green of the sea, the big caves and the small pebbles, makes this the perfect scenery to relax and enjoy your swim.
