Our Kephalonia tour goes every Tuesday and Thursday. The estimated time of pick up is at 07:45 and we return at 21:00. There are various pick up points from different areas throughout all major resorts. This along with all ticket details will beTrip to Kefalonia, confirmed by email at the time of booking. We have picked out the best 49-seater Air conditoned coaches in order to make you feel that extra bit comfortable. The big ferry boat takes off from the northern part of the island called St Nickolas, or Skinari.
The actual drive from your resort to the harbour is fantastic and you get to see half of Zakynthos. The ferry ride across is roughly an hour and a half. On the ferry boat you can have coffee, toasties etc if you haven't had breakfast at your hotel.
Arriving at Pessada our first stop takes us to the Monastery of Agios Gerassimos, saint protector of the island. Here respectable dress is neccesary. We recommend that you take a sweater to be used in the early morning hours/late hours of your ferry boat ride and this can also be used in the monasteries.
Our tour continues with a main stop at the Drogarati Cave, where the lights reflect a different view on natures beauty. There is an entrace fee of 3.50 Euros for Adults and 1.75 for children.
Another hours stop at the Melissani Lake reveals the underground river passing through the whole island. The water flow starts from the Katavothres, west side of Kephalonia, through Melissani Lake and flows into the sea again on the east coast of Kephalonia, Karavomilos. In order to get down to the Lake there are about a hundred steps into the core of the earth. These steps need sensible shoes and may be slippery. This may not be suitable for older people, very small babies or disabled persons. There is an entrance fee of 5.00 for Adults and 2.50 for children. At the bottom of the steps there are little boats that can tour you around the lake. These entrace fees are paid locally and are not included in the tour price.

There is a major stop at Argostoli, which is the main commercial centre of the island. This city is modern in comparison to its history, reason being that all the old buildings and mansions were destroyed in the earthquake of 1953. Here there is some time for shopping or an ice-cream and coffee. Kephalonia is very mountainous and the drive around the island is fantastic while viewing the different shades in the seawater from a high altitude. There are no facilities to exchange money on this tour, so make sure you have Euros cash with you for your meals, entrance fees and souvenirs. Again there is the return ferry boat ride to Zakynthos.
This tour is priced at 35.00 Euros for adults and the children depending on the ages either go free of half price. This price covers ferry boat tickets, transfers, guiding, and insurances.
