This is a truly amazing tour, which combines both beauty and history. Following your various pick-ups you will be taken to Zakynthos harbour where you will be given your ferry tickets for your trip to Killini, the crossing takes approximately 60minutes. Once you disembark from the ferry, you will be taken directly to the Olympic site in less than 90 minutes.
Once upon the Olympic site you will be introduced to the local English-speaking guide who will be taking you around both the site and museum. There are separate entrance fees for the site and the museum. You have plenty of time to admire the archeological site and its precious treasure in the museum, as you will be there for 3 hours.
The guide will have given you a meeting point and time for the museum so you should leave yourself time to exit the site. The museum contains artifacts discovered from the site, these include statues, in various states of preservation, as well as various ornaments used as decorative fixtures. The guide will also explain you the difference in making of the Greek And Romans statues. Once again following your tour you will be given some free time to look around the museum, this is approximately 30min, after which you will be rejoining the coach for your trip to Olympia village for lunch.
