About 19 Km away from Zante Town, Keri village right on the southwest part of the island set in a sweeping bay with turquoise waters.
Actually, Keri village is separated in two parts; the lovely compact village situated up to the green hill and the other one that is called "Lake of Keri" that there is the gulf of Keri, the beach and the small port.
Despite the tourist growth of the area, especially in the "Lake", people of Keri are mainly occupied with agriculture. They cultivate olives and vineyards. They also produce an exceptional quality of olive oil & wine.
The main characteristic of the first part is the old stone made houses and the narrow streets. The old houses that survived the destructive earthquake in 1953 are nowadays-outstanding showpieces of the local architecture.
